Albanian state railway operator Hekurudha Shqiptare has announced the launch of a tender for a feasibility study to build a railway linking the Adriatic port city of Drach with Kosovo's capital Pristina. BalkanEngineer.com has learned this from SeeNews.com.
The project with an estimated cost of Lek 200 million (about $2.1 million or 2 million euros) envisages the feasibility study to be completed within 14 months, the company announced in tender documents published on the website of the Albanian Public Procurement Agency.
Potential bidders are required to have previous experience in railway studies and at least one related to freight and passenger railway studies and design. Bids can be submitted until 28 August 2023.
