Albania's parliament has passed a law that aims to make it easier for start-ups to operate in the country by creating a special government agency. BalkanEngineer.com has learned this from SeeNews.com.
The special agency will bring dynamic energy to support startups by significantly reducing the time for information exchange, processing of applicants' documents and full transparency in public funding decisions.
The law includes a provision to exempt so-called digital nomads from paying taxes during their first year in Albania in the hope that they can bring seasonal workers with them. The country currently hosts 100 digital nomads.
