European logistics real estate company VGP has announced that it has leased around 20,000 m² of space in its industrial park in the western Romanian city of Timisoara to the local division of automotive tire manufacturer Continental Tires. This was learned by BalkanEngineer.com from SeeNews.com. Another 8,209 m² are available in the newly built logistics building and are looking for a tenant.
The building is the eighth in a row at VGP Park Timisoara and complies with strict industrial regulations. It also has the option of installing photovoltaic panels on the roof, which is in line with green energy initiatives. The space provides all the necessary conditions for businesses that want to expand their logistics operations in the region.
The space leased by Continental Tires will be used for tire storage, so VGP adapted it to provide the required height of 10.3m for its client.
Founded in 1998 as a family real estate company in the Czech Republic, today VGP Group manages 100 logistics parks across Europe. The company has been present in Romania since 2007 and owns six parks located in the cities of Bucharest, Timisoara, Brasov, Sibiu and Arad.
