Turkish manufacturer of heating elements for household appliances Sahterm Elektrikli Isiticilar San. ve Tic. will invest 70 million euros ($76.4 million) in the construction of a factory in Skopje, North Macedonia, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from Neaproini.us.
Sahterm will start building the factory in 2024 and plans to create more than 1,000 jobs over the next ten years. The investment will also include the construction of a research and development center. The factory will be Sahterm's first manufacturing facility outside Turkey.
The company specializes in the production of tubular heating elements for household appliances such as ovens, grills, industrial kitchens, washing machines, dishwashers, dryers and small appliances. Over half of Sahterm's total annual production is exported and the company is an official supplier to the world's largest manufacturers of household appliances such as Whirlpool, Indesit, Gorenje, Arcelik/Beko, Candy Hoover Group, Glendimplex, Croslee.
