Swiss stamping and fine blanking company Etampa has officially opened a factory in Kruševac, Eastern Serbia, BalkanEngineer.bg learned from Serbianmonitor.com. The facility will have an annual production capacity of 280 million parts for automotive electronics, construction and medical technology.
The area of the new factory is 7200 m2 and there are currently 25 employees, but the number of staff is expected to increase to 60 people by the end of 2023.
Etampa has plants in Illinois, USA, Blansko, Czech Republic, and now also in Krusevac. In November 2021, when the local government announced the planned construction of the factory, it was revealed that the investment would total 2 million euros.
The company manufactures braking and safety systems for vehicles and components for electric motors, as well as tools used in medical technology, household appliances and everyday products such as toothbrushes, razors and more.
