SARK Bulgaria, part of the Turkish industrial group Sarkuysan, has announced the launch of a key project to expand its production capacity in Shumen, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from economy.bg. The project includes the construction of a new production building for copper wires on an area of 8 015 m² within the Second Industrial Zone in the Bulgarian city.
Construction has been awarded to Castello Pricast, a leading industrial construction company, and the 12 million euro investment will contribute to the creation of over 50 new jobs and significantly increase the plant's production capacity to 35 000 tpa.
The new building will produce copper wires for various sectors, including energy, mechanical engineering and automotive. The project also includes the implementation of roof lighting to improve working conditions and special roof coatings for a future photovoltaic installation.
"We are extremely proud to be part of this large-scale project," said Castello Pricast. They will be using their innovative Lotos system, incorporating precast reinforced concrete construction, which provides technological flexibility and high construction efficiency. The company manufactures all reinforced concrete elements in its factory near Sofia, ensuring high-quality control and minimal impact from weather conditions.
The new expansion is expected to be completed in May 2025, further increasing the company's capacity and market presence. Sarkuysan, owner of SARK Bulgaria, is one of the largest industrial groups in Turkey, with investments in Bulgaria already exceeding 35 million leva.
