E.ON Energie Romania has completed a new photovoltaic power plant for the needs of Romanian brick manufacturer Cemacon, BalkanEnigineer.com has learned from Green-forum.eu The value of the investment amounts to around EUR 850,000.
With an installed capacity of more than 1MWh, the plant will serve an important part of the electricity needs of the industrial park of Reca. As a result, Cemacon will reduce its annual emissions by around 300 t CO2 and optimise its energy costs by around €83,000.
A system consisting of 2,176 photovoltaic modules with monocrystalline technology has been installed on the roof of the Recea factory. It will generate an average of 976 MWh per year.
E.ON Energie Romania's portfolio of photovoltaic generation projects includes more than 330 completed installations to date, with a total value of more than EUR 58 million. The total PV energy production is about 77 GWh/year and CO2 emissions are reduced by about 20,611 t each year.
