North Macedonia is launching an impressive energy project with the construction of a large-scale wind farm that will be strategically located between Karbintsi, Stip and Radovish, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from BalkanGreenNews.com. The investment was announced during the 7th Macedonian Energy Forum (MEF).

The wind farm is expected to generate about 1 TWh of electricity per year, which will represent approximately 20% of the total electricity production in North Macedonia. This makes it a key project in the country's efforts to diversify its energy sources and improve its sustainability.

The scale and impact of the project is a significant step forward in harnessing renewable energy. The wind farm is poised to meet a significant portion of the country's energy needs, reducing dependence on traditional, less sustainable energy sources.

According to the authorities, the transition to renewable energy in North Macedonia is a complex and expensive process and the country will need significant external support to achieve its goals.
