Nelt ST, part of the international Nelt Group, has implemented a fully digitalized distribution management process in North Macedonia, following its successful implementation in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, BalkanEngineer.bg has learned from a publication in denar.mk. The new solution, developed in partnership with Ramstor, includes a digital bill of lading and removes the need for paper documents, significantly reducing the administrative burden and costs for businesses.
The process covers all stages from order to delivery and archiving of documentation. Orders are placed via electronic data interchange for each delivery point and are processed through a dynamic routing system. Order preparation is done through warehouse operations management technology with voice commands, and the final phase is a new solution - a digital bill of lading. This allows real-time tracking of all details via tablets used by suppliers and electronic signing of documents. The system eliminates the need for paper proofs and corrections are made directly upon delivery.
Nelt ST emphasises that digital invoices are archived and stored securely by an authorised archivist in North Macedonia, which guarantees data protection. In collaboration with Inbox, the company has also developed a cloud-based platform that makes it easy for customers to validate invoices and track issues. The platform enables customers to track their deliveries in real-time and ensure the accuracy of goods and invoices received.
The environmental benefit of implementing the new system is also significant. Over the past year, Nelt Group has been able to reduce weekly paper use by 160 000 sheets, equivalent to a saving of 800 kg of paper. With a reduction of almost 65% in proofreading, 40 t less paper is used annually, saving over 1 000 trees. This transformation is part of the company's commitment to reduce its environmental footprint and contribute to sustainable development while optimising its business processes.
With over 30 years of experience, Nelt Group has established itself as a leading logistics and distribution company and continues to introduce innovations that improve the customer experience and operational efficiency.
