Lufthansa Technik and Bulgarian software company CleverPine have established a joint venture under the ViTech brand, BalkanEnigneer.com has learned from Economy.bg. The new company, which will develop engineering software for the aviation industry, is located in Sofia and will create more than 85 new jobs. The choice of the Bulgarian capital as a location is strategic, as Lufthansa Technik already has many years of experience in Bulgaria and the city has a rich potential and a developed technology community.
ViTech launched its operations in early October this year and announced an active recruitment campaign for software engineers and managers in the Scrum Master, UX Design, Data Scientists and Product Owner areas.
The joint venture between Lufthansa Technik and CleverPine aims to transform the aviation industry through digital innovation and is expected to accelerate the digital transformation of Lufthansa Technik's business segments. The venture will be focused on developing software products and services and plans to play a key role in the local IT scene, contributing to the growth of the IT ecosystem not only in Sofia, but across Bulgaria.
