In the period from 18 to 22 March 2024. The University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG) in Sofia, Bulgaria, was visited by representatives of Barleti University, Tirana, Albania, as part of the Erasmus+ KA171 programme. This was learned by BalkanEnigeer.com from the official Facebook page of the university. The visit brought together representatives of two higher education institutions to exchange experiences and best practices in the field of architecture and educational programme management.
The guests from Barleti University were impressed by the scale and diversity of the UASG facilities. The spacious halls, laboratories and training rooms represented a real vision of the educational process in the field of architecture and construction in Bulgaria. The large number of students studying at the university also attracted the attention of the visitors, contributing to their even deeper understanding of the educational environment at UASG.
One of the most significant events during the visit was the guests' meeting with the wife of the Bulgarian architect Zheko Zhekov, who designed many of Tirana's public buildings and to whom the Albanians will place a memorial plaque in one of the city's parks.
A meeting with representatives from the Faculty of Architecture was also organised by UASG to discuss practical applications in the management of the Erasmus+ KA171 programme. This was an important moment to exchange ideas and find opportunities for future cooperation and development of educational programmes.
