The Bulgarian producer of dairy products LB Bulgaricum had started the modernization of its facility in the city of Vidin, Bulgaria, BalkanEngineer.com learned from the company’s announcement. Another increase in the employees’ salaries is also planned from September this year.

It is expected that the production base will be developed and improved in stages, beginning with the repair of the refrigeration rooms and asphalting of the alleys leading to the workshops and the parking lot in front of the building. LB Bulgaricum plans a gradual replacement of outdated equipment with new machinery for the production of fresh milk, cow butter and processed cheeses. Actions will also be taken for improving the base’s energy efficiency and building photovoltaic systems to reduce the electricity costs.

A leading priority of the company’s management and the Ministry of Economy and Industry, as its principal, is the development and constant improvement of the production base in the Danube city. LB Bulgaricum also envisages the establishment of a research laboratory in the city of Sofia together with Meiji Co. Ltd., with which it is currently in the process of negotiating a strategic partnership.
