There are currently 22 operating companies with Bulgarian capital in the Romanian county of Prahova, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from BTA. By the end of 2023, a total of 3,238 companies with Bulgarian participation are registered in Romania. This opens interesting prospects for economic cooperation between the two Balkan countries.

In the first four months of 2023, the value of trade between Bulgaria and Romania reached about 8.3 billion euros. Of this amount, approximately 214 million euros resulted from trade between Prahova and Bulgaria last year alone, with the area becoming an important factor for stability and growth in the region, opening up new opportunities for cooperation and development.

This became clear during the visit of the Bulgarian Ambassador to Romania Radko Vlajkov and his team to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Prahova County. The meeting, which took place in the presence of the President of the Chamber, Aurelian Gogulescu, and the Deputy Mayor of Ploiesti, Daniel Nicodim, highlighted the importance of Bulgarian investments in the region. Gogulescu said that cooperation between Romania and Bulgaria could be developed especially in the field of tourism and energy efficiency. He even invited Bulgarian winemakers to participate in this year's exhibition of Romanian wines from Prahova, which clearly demonstrates the growing potential for business cooperation between the two countries.
