North Macedonian winemaker Tikveš has appointed Branka Slaveska as its new general director, BalkanEnigeer.com has learned from SeeNews.com. Slaveska will take up the post on 1 January 2024.
Tikveš terminated the employment contract of the company's previous general director Radoš Vukičević on May 29 this year, giving no reasons for the decision. Vukicevic had been the winery's director since 2017, with Svetozar Janevski acting as interim director after his dismissal. Branka Slaveska will take the position from the beginning of next year.
Tikveš Winery is one of the largest and most significant winemaking facilities in Southeastern Europe. At present, most of the production is in the form of wine on tap, but the company reports that there is an increased interest in wines of higher quality.
