The municipality of the Albanian capital Tirana has announced that it has signed a 386 million lek ($4.1 million/3.7 million euro) contract with local company Salillari to build public infrastructure in the city's Technology and Economic Development Area (TEDA). BalkanEngineer.com learnt this from SeeNews.com. The winning bid fits into the municipality's estimated indicative budget of 488 million lek.
The public infrastructure project includes the construction of roads and sidewalks, as well as sewage and water systems in the subdivision, according to the tender documents published by the municipality, and the contract is to be completed within nine months.
The TEDA project envisages an investment of more than €102 million in facilities for the manufacturing industry, including the production of automotive parts, information technology, electronic equipment and agro-processing.
The winning company, Salillari, was founded in 1994 and operates in mining, construction, trade, transport, tourism, environmental services and renewable energy projects.
