The Albanian Minister of Finance and Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj, announced that the economic growth of Albania for 2022 is 4.84%. This is what BalkanEngineer.com learned from BTA. Growth covers all sectors of the economy, but it is most noticeable in construction - 10.7%, trade - 9.9%, agriculture - 0.06% and industry - 5.45%.
The results exceeded the expectations of both the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Albania and international institutions, which predicted growth between 3 and 3.7%.
Minister Ibrahimai emphasized that the economic growth of Albania is the highest in the region and significantly higher than the growth in the EU countries. According to her, the average growth in EU countries is 1.7%.
Ibrahimai also pointed out that the final consumption of the population increased by 7.13%, and investments - by 7%. "We are making good progress in real terms, accounting for price growth, for both consumption and investment," she said.
The only sector with slower growth in the fourth quarter of last year in Albania was agriculture, which was affected by international and domestic market prices.
