In the first nine months of 2023, foreign direct investments in Albania have reached the impressive amount of 1 billion euros, which represents a 10.6% growth compared to the previous year, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from BTA. The statistics were provided by the country's Finance and Economy Minister Ervin Mette during a press conference dedicated to the national economy's performance for 2023.
Mette stressed that this positive trend is a continuation of the growth recorded in 2022. According to him, the improved trade balance, increased tourism revenues and the steady flow of foreign direct investments are factors that significantly improve Albania's foreign trade balance. Moreover, the country's inflation rate is expected to fall to the 3% target set by the Albanian central bank by mid-2024.
Mette also said that the country's unemployment rate has been reduced to a historic low of 10.5% and continues to move in the same direction.
These positive economic indicators reflect Albania's successful efforts in attracting foreign investment and stabilizing its economy, while maintaining sustained growth and improving foreign trade relations.
