This primary gas-insulated switchgear is a compact digital solution without SF, aimed towards the most demanding applications. For insulation, it uses clean air instead of gas mixtures or alternative fluorinated greenhouse gases. Eliminating the need for recycling and specialized processing of gas reduces regulation risks and the overall cost of possession. The intelligent functions allow for scalable maintenance strategies based on the actual condition of the equipment, which helps compensate for the shortage of qualified specialists and increases the reliability of assets.

  • Insulation without SF

"GM AirSeT uses clean air as an insulating medium and vacuum technology to extinguish the electric arc, thus eliminating greenhouse gases and their associated toxic by-products. This ensures compliance with future environmental regulations, including Regulation (EU) 2024/573, and facilitates end-of-life equipment management processes," explained Schneider Electric Bulgaria.

"Built-in sensors for monitoring tank pressure and tripping mechanism status allow for constant monitoring and maintenance based on the actual condition of the equipment. Through Schneider Electric's EcoCare services, this contributes to reducing unplanned outages by up to 75% and maintenance costs by up to 40%," the company also stated.

The solution is designed for high-power applications and harsh operating conditions. “The sealed tank and insulated busbars eliminate the need for on-site gas filling and ensure reliable operation in extreme temperatures, high altitudes and high humidity,” the specialists say.

"Operators have intuitive interfaces, clearly defined logical control sequences, built-in safety interlocks, and remote and local control capabilities, allowing for safer operation outside the arc flash zone," the company added.
