Schneider Electric has released a new generation of collaborative robots, Lexium Cobot, which integrate the most up to date functions with advanced robotics, putting a new standard in industrial automation. Designed with safety in mind and effective cooperation with operators, the innovative series of cobots ensures high precision and smooth movement thanks to intelligent controls.

"Designed to optimize production processes and increase safety levels, Lexium Cobot contributes to limiting downtime caused by staff shortages - a problem that can negatively impact the production capacity of enterprises, reducing it by up to 20%. Thanks to its flexibility and technological capabilities, the system allows the performance of tasks and applications that remain unattainable for conventional industrial robots," Schneider Electric told BalkanEngineer.com.

All work versions are equipped with mechanical sensors for spotting unwanted contact, as well as integrated protective functions, ensuring reliable exploitation in regard to the equipment and operators. Compact construction involving smooth, rounded forms also minimizes the risk of accidents. In relation to the specifics of the application and the measured risk, these characteristics can eliminate the need for additional protective formations, while at the same time reducing the taken-up space by around 30%-40% based on the standard industrial  solutions. “In addition, Lexium Cobot is quickly deployed in a production environment without requiring significant time or capital resources,” Schneider Electric noted.

With its simplified programming, quick configuration and intuitive interface, the new generation of Schneider Electric cobots establish themselves as a solution with high operational efficiency. The personnel’s short training period means the solutions are integrated in the production process more quickly. This allows industrial enterprises to significantly shorten the return on investment period when transitioning to modern, intelligent manufacturing factories.
