Ecuador, or the Republic of the Equator, is a country in the northwestern part of South America, divided into 24 provinces, consisting of 99 cantons. One of them – Manta, celebrated in 2024 the 102nd anniversary of its declaration as a canton with a significant large-scale project. The local authorities officially opened the Mega Centenario Agustín Intriago Park – a huge park located on the ocean coast in the city of Manta. Among the attractions is a 7.5 meter panorama site on a hill, open with a theater with a capacity for 5000 people, kid zones, bike paths, hiking paths and the biggest fountain on the coast, supplied with 70 water streams with light, reaching around 12 meters, to create a unique visual show.

"The site previously functioned as a small fishing dock. However, with the active growth of the city, problems such as excessive pollution and retention of wastewater and waste have arisen, especially after the 2016 earthquake. Today, after an investment of $21 million, the new park is the only one in the country with a view of the ocean and the largest recreational project of its kind," said Eng. Georgiev.
