The system is generating significant interest among technology-focused designers, as it offers a balanced architecture featuring liquid thermal management and high efficiency (with a round-trip efficiency exceeding 94%). Over the last couple of years, we have all witnessed how engineering involving industrial power systems, develops in a direction that involves full factory readiness for the equipment. Local assembly and wiring of the battery racks, outside inverters, separate chillers, and control panels are now giving way to fully completed factory-built modules. This approach completely negates the risks that come with hardware and software incompatibility during installation. The SunGiga series reflects this tendency, integrating lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs, bidirectional power inverter, a closed-loop hydraulic cooling circuit, and the low-voltage switchgear into a single unit.
For designers and engineers, such a manner of automation saves hours of sketching, redacting and reviewing complex electrical blueprints. Since the equipment arrives as a single unit, a completely built component, on-site work involves three steps: setting the foundation, connecting the power cables to the facility's main switchboard, and laying the communication cable routes.
The cabinets themselves are surprisingly compact considering their capacity, which also “loosens the hands” of investors when choosing locations. They can situate anywhere – in the current vicinity of the production facilities or right next to the transformer substation. This approach not only preserves open space in the factory space but also minimizes cable runs, thereby reducing active energy losses during transmission.
