The Chinese company Minth is investing in a fourth auto parts plant in the Serbian city of Sabac

Chinese industrial giant Minth has taken a significant step toward expanding its production capacity in Serbia by officially requesting approval of the environmental impact assessment study for the construction of its fourth auto parts plant in the city of Sabac. The project will be implemented through the local subsidiary Minth Automotive Allshabac and will be located in the city’s Eastern Industrial Zone, BalkanEngineer.com learned from the regional business portal eKapija.com.

The new production complex is designed with a total built-up area of over 20,000 m² and will consist of a large production hall, an administrative building, and supporting logistics and technical infrastructure. The company’s main activity will focus on the machining of aluminum extruded profiles and the production of components for the automotive industry, including battery boxes for electric vehicles, decorative trim, and structural parts for leading global automotive brands. The manufacturing process will include cutting, drilling, milling, punching, and welding of metal components, with state-of-the-art robotic systems to be implemented at the facility.

The application for an environmental permit has been submitted to the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia for review, with the project documentation prepared by the Belgrade-based firm Eco Trend Consulting. The construction of Minth’s fourth factory in Sabac is part of the Chinese group’s large-scale investment strategy in the country, where the company already operates several production facilities in Loznica and Sabac, establishing Serbia as its main production hub in Southeast Europe. The new investment is expected to create dozens of new jobs and stimulate the local economy by attracting new suppliers and subcontractors to the region.
