The Bulgarian BigArena has entered the greek market with an investment and a new logistics complex near Thessaloniki

The Bulgarian warehousing and logistics company BigArena is investing nearly 150,000 euros in the construction of a new logistics center in Greece. The facility is located in the Thessaloniki area and covers an area of 1,200 m², with 500 pallet spaces and a dedicated order-fulfillment area. With the opening of the new facility, the company’s warehouse network has now grown to six company-owned warehouses located in Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Slovakia, and Greece, BalkanEngineer.com learned from a company press release.

The new center has the potential to process up to 80,000 shipments per month; once this capacity is reached, plans call for expanding the facility to over 3,000 m². The facility began operations in August, and more than 15 commercial companies are already preparing to integrate with it. The team in Greece started with four employees, and plans are in place to hire ten more by early 2027.

The new infrastructure enables Bulgarian and international online stores to drastically reduce their delivery times to the Greek market. By positioning inventory on-site in Thessaloniki, orders are processed and handed over to the courier on the same day, eliminating the need for expensive and slow transit shipments from abroad. The security and speed of these processes are guaranteed by BigArena’s proprietary WMS software system. It provides merchants with real-time transparency into the movement of every shipment—from the receipt and storage of goods to their final delivery.

BigArena’s next strategic goal is to expand into the Iberian Peninsula by opening a new warehouse of its own in Spain, thereby solidifying the company’s position as a leading regional logistics partner for e-commerce.
