The strategic plan is aimed at completing the main transport corridors, including the Blue-White Corridor along the Adriatic coast and Corridor 8, which connects the Adriatic with the Black Sea. These are expected to significantly improve internal mobility and integrate the Albanian economy more closely with European markets. A significant portion of the funds will also be directed toward the energy sector, with a focus on diversifying energy sources through new photovoltaic and wind farms, as well as strengthening the electricity transmission network with neighboring countries.

According to government estimates, funding for the program will be provided through a combination of the state budget, international financial institutions, and private investment in the form of public-private partnerships. Prime Minister Edi Rama emphasized that these 7.9 billion euros are the foundation for Albania’s sustainable future, which will boost tourism, create thousands of new jobs, and raise the standard of living throughout the country. Project implementation is already underway, with construction activity expected to peak over the next three years.
