A Swiss manufacturer opens a factory for EUR 9 million in Skopje

The developer of sensor solutions Baumer has opened a new factory in Technological Industrial Development Zone Skopje 1, North Macedonia, BalkanEngineer.com learned from CIJEurope.com. The Swiss company plans to invest a total of EUR 9 million in its three-phase project.

 

 

So far, the company has invested EUR 4.7 million in the first phase, which includes the construction of a 4000 m2 facility located on a 19 000 m2 parcel with a 2500 m2 production area and 600 m2 offices. Baumer plans to hire 150 employees in the base, whose number might reach a total of 500 in the future.

 

Baumer is a family-owned company that manufactures high-tech sensor solutions, measuring devices, cables and other electronic semiconductors. The future plans of the company also include the construction of a research and development center for young engineers.
