Serbian battery manufacturer ElevenEs has announced that it is launching a new lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cell designed specifically for electric vehicle and industrial applications. The Edge574 Blade Cell model has an expected service life of at least 500,000 km and ultra-fast charging capability, setting new standards in the segment, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from the company's statement.

The battery delivers a charge from 10% to 80% in just 12 min at temperatures above 25°C, and maintains impressive efficiency at temperatures around 0°C. With a peak charging capacity of up to 1 MW, the system is designed to be competitive in both the automotive and heavy machinery sectors. "With the Edge574, we aim not only to accelerate charging but also to extend battery life, which is critical for the sustainable development of electro-mobility in Europe," the company reports.
Designed for high density and modular integration, the cell enables both cell-to-pack (CTP) and cell-to-body (CTB) configurations. In doing so, it achieves energy densities of 190 Wh/kg and 420 Wh/l at the cell level, which improves efficiency with limited space and weight. ElevenEs also highlights the product's wide operating temperature range - from -30 °C to 60 °C - making the cell suitable for a variety of climates, including harsh industrial environments.
With this development, ElevenEs consolidates its ambition to position itself as an important European supplier of battery technology at a time when the market is looking for alternatives to dependence on Asian manufacturers.
