German company Schieffer International Group will invest in the construction of a factory for plastic components for the automotive industry in the Romanian city of Hunedoara, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from RomaniaInsider.com. The project will create new jobs and foresees future expansion.

Schieffer Industries Romania, a subsidiary of Germany's Schieffer International Group, is starting construction of a new factory for the production of plastic components for the automotive industry in Hunedoara. The site of the facility will be 17,750 m2, with 3,367 m2 occupied by a production hall and additional buildings. Construction is expected to be completed in the autumn of this year and the factory is expected to be operational by the end of the year.
The initial phase will create 40 new jobs, with the company's plans to expand production capacity and double the number of positions in the second phase of development. Schieffer already has a production facility in Lugos, but with the new investment the company is consolidating its presence in Romania and expanding its activities in the automotive sector.
