RSM building materials manufacturer Cementarnica Usje invests in artificial intelligence and sustainable production

Building materials manufacturer Cementarnica Usje, part of Greek industrial group Titan, is embarking on an ambitious 50 million euro investment round, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from a company announcement. The aim of the programme is to accelerate the company's technological transformation and strengthen its market position by the end of the decade.

The investments will be aimed at full digitalization of production processes, implementation of artificial intelligence-based solutions, and development of new environmentally sustainable products. The company stresses that the focus will be on green technologies and energy efficiency in line with modern European regulations and standards for sustainable construction.

 

"The world is changing at an extraordinary speed and only companies that are ready for this transformation will survive and prosper. For us, this means a commitment to digital and environmental modernisation," said Konstantinos Nicolaou, CEO of Cementarnica Usje.

 

The company's financial results for 2024 also confirm its steady growth - net profit jumped by 25% from the previous year to reach 1.9 billion Macedonian dinars (nearly 31 million euros).

 

According to the latest data from the Macedonian Stock Exchange, Cementarnica Usje shares were trading at an average price of 41,000 denars on 7 February 2025, with market interest remaining stable despite fluctuations in global markets.
