The new facility, located on an area of 100,000 m2, is part of the company's strategic plan to strengthen production capacity and engineering expertise in the region. The plant will produce complex metal components for electrification, safety and comfort in the automotive industry, with a focus on sustainable production and energy efficiency.

"Cachac is an important location in our growth strategy - the state-of-the-art facility not only expands our capacity in the region, but also consolidates our position as a technology leader," said Carlo Lazzarini, CEO of PWO Group.

The plant has already recruited 137 employees, a number that will reach 500 by the end of the first phase and 800 when the expansion is complete. A significant number of the new positions are for highly skilled personnel, and the company is also actively working with local educational institutions to train future professionals.

The facility is built to modern energy efficient standards - using only green electricity, heat pumps and innovative ventilation systems. In addition, the Group's new Shared Services Centre is now operational in Cachac, servicing administrative, IT and logistics activities for the company's European units.

PWO also has another plant in Kragujevac, and the two sites together form a high-performance technology cluster for the region. Production at the new site is expected to start by the end of 2025.
