Israeli agtech company N2OFF has signed a strategic agreement with Solterra Energy to jointly develop renewable energy projects in Albania, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from a company press release. According to the terms of the binding agreement, the cooperation between the two companies will last for one year, with the main focus on solar energy and battery energy storage.

The projects will be presented through local partnerships, with Solterra taking over the feasibility analyses. If these analyses yield positive results, the company will undertake the implementation of the projects, while N2OFF will secure the financing through both its own funds and financial partners.
This partnership is part of Albania's broader efforts to develop renewable energy in the context of a newly signed agreement with Italy and the United Arab Emirates to build a submarine electricity link between Italy and Albania and to develop renewable energy projects.
N2OFF, which is renowned for innovation in agri-tech, has recently begun to expand its portfolio with investments in the renewable energy sectors. In collaboration with Solterra, which already operates in markets in Italy, Germany and Poland, N2OFF is also looking to accelerate the development of projects in Albania that will increase the country's capacity to generate clean energy.
