The German manufacturer of components for household appliances Emz will invest 5 million euro in a factory in Resita, Romania, BalkanEngineer.com learned from Romania-insider.com. Thus, the country will become third in the European Union, after Germany and the Czech Republic, where the group has production facilities.

Emz’s future investment comes as a response to the company’s expansion, which registered a 30% increase in revenue during the last fiscal year. The production is expected to begin in the fall of 2022 with a team of between 50 and 100 people. Emz’s long-term plan is to hire up to 500 employees in the new facility, as well as to collaborate with Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca.

The Bavarian-based German group Emz was founded in 1952. Today, its clients include large international companies such as BSH, Electrolux, Liebherr, Miele, Samsung and Whirlpool.
