The company engaged in the production of transformers, electric motors and generators Essex Europe will invest little over EUR 30 million in the construction of its new plant in Zrenjanin, Serbia, BalkanEngineer.com learned from evertiq.com. The plant will produce copper and aluminum cables for the needs of automotive industry.
It is expected the preparations for the new project to begin very shortly, and the start of the construction is planned for the last quarter of 2018. The company will provide a work place for over 150 employees, with the plant in Serbia supporting the operations of Essex Europe’s main production facilities in Germany and Italy.
Essex Europe is a subsidiary enterprise of Superior Essex, which is a part of the South Korean LS Group. The new subsidiary of the company will operate under the name of Essex Balkan.
