EBRD gives EUR 1 million for investments in green energy in Macedonia

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will finance projects for green energy worth EUR 1 million in North Macedonia, BalkanEngineer.com learned from Denar.mk. The funds will be aimed at improving the energy efficiency of residential buildings, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving the life quality of households.

 

 

 

The financing will be provided through ProCredit Bank Macedonia. Beneficiaries will be households, housing associations and service companies planning to invest in energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.

 

The program for stimulating green investments in North Macedonia is part of a larger project of EBRD for financial support on the Balkans worth EUR 85 million, which has started in 2017.
