On March 31, 2021, the Bulgarian startup Dronamics, specializing in the development and operation of autonomous drones, announced that it is launching Dronamics Airline cargo drones with legal entities in Ireland, Canada and Australia, BalkanEngineer.com learned from TheRecursive.com. The three companies are registered in these countries because of the advanced drone regulations, but also because these are the regions where Dronamics' first customers will be served in the field of e-commerce, pharmacy and spare parts logistics.

The news comes after Dronamics launched the world's first cargo drone network in early December 2020. The company has started partnerships with over 30 European airports and shares locations of 5 of them - Belgium, Croatia, Finland, Italy and Sweden.

Dronamics also announced the appointment of the company's new chief operating officer, Sergio Oliveira e Silva. He has over 25 years of experience in some of the largest companies in the industry in various international regions. Silva will be responsible for the deployment of the drone network, the forthcoming regulatory authorizations, etc.
