Datacor invests over EUR 1 mln in a new factory in Romania

Romanian intelligent infrastructure solutions company Datacor will invest EUR 1.25 mln in a new fiber optic factory located in the Romanian city of Bistrita, BalkanEngineer.com learned from RomaniaJournal.ro.

 

 

The plant will be located on an area of ​​845 m2 in the the Bistrița-Sud Industrial Park and will start to operate in January 2021. Production activities will be focused on the segments fiber-to-the-home (FTTH), data centers, 5G and local networks (LAN). Thus, the company aims to bring its products to the European market, focusing on Germany and Austria.

 

The project for the new base is funded by EU funds through the Regional Operational Program 2.2.

 

Moreover, at the end of 2020, Datacor plans to expand its local team by providing 20 job positions.
