The new management's main priority will be to consolidate Romania's role in Bosch's global innovation network. Dan Lazarescu plans to focus on increasing competitiveness, promoting innovation, and accelerating digitization processes, the company's announcement also revealed. Lazarescu has extensive experience with the company, having started his career in Stuttgart in 2001 and held management positions in Germany, Hungary, and Romania.

The engineering center in Cluj has undergone significant development in recent years, with its second modern office building opening in 2024—an investment that underscores Bosch's long-term commitment to the country. The center currently employs around 1,500 specialists who develop software and hardware solutions for automated driving and electric mobility. With this appointment, Bosch aims to integrate its development activities in Cluj even more closely with its production facilities in the region, providing comprehensive solutions for its customers worldwide.
