Computer 2000 Bulgaria will offer solutions from the U.S.-based company Industrial Defender to protect critical infrastructure

Industrial Defender, a pioneer in cybersecurity for operational technology (OT) and industrial control systems, has announced its official partnership with the Bulgarian distribution company Computer 2000 Bulgaria. The agreement aims to expand access to specialized software solutions for protecting critical infrastructure in markets across Southeast Europe and the Balkan region, BalkanEngineer.com learned from SeeNews.

As an established regional leader in the distribution of IT solutions and cybersecurity, the Bulgarian company will offer the U.S. developer’s software portfolio to its extensive network of partners and system integrators in the Balkans. Industrial Defender’s technologies help organizations in the energy, water, chemical, and manufacturing sectors across the region monitor and protect their industrial control systems (ICS) from growing global cyber threats.

The platform provides a detailed inventory of digital assets, real-time monitoring of configuration changes, detection of unauthorized access, and vulnerability management. The platform is expected to become a leading tool for Balkan critical infrastructure operators, as it facilitates compliance with the strict requirements of the new European NIS2 Directive, as well as with the international standards NERC CIP, IEC 62443, and NIST CSF.
