Automobile, boat and railway components to be produced in the Serbian city of Pancevo

The German company ZF Friedrichshafen AG (ZF) opened a production plant for car, boat and rail components at the industrial zone in Pancevo, Serbia. During the initial stage around 300 employees will be working there, BalkanEngineer.com learned from SerbianMonitor.com.

 

 

So far, the company has invested around EUR 100 million in the construction of the factory but plans additional expenses. ZF also expects to hire more than 1000 workers, as well as to build a scientific research centre spanning 5000 m2.

 

The German company will produce top-notch automotive components at its factory in Pancevo. According to the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who attended the opening ceremony of the plant, the facility would be of great for the entire Serbia. He also expressed hope that the company’s future research centre would attract highly qualified people from Pancevo and the region.
