Alkaloid (North Macedonia) increased its sales in the first nine months of the year

The North Macedonian pharmaceutical company Alkaloid announced that in the first nine months of the year, despite major challenges, it managed to increase its sales and profitability. This is what Balkanengineer.com learned from Izvoz.mk.

 

 

According to the unaudited financial report published on the Macedonian Stock Exchange, the most successful local company, Alkaloid, achieved consolidated sales revenue of MKD 10,988,914,294, which is 16% more compared to the same period last year.

 

Examined by product group, in the structure of total consolidated sales, the largest share is occupied by products from the pharmacy segment, namely 88%. Of these, antibiotics have a larger share - 24%, over-the-counter preparations with 18%, preparations for the cardiovascular system with 14%, neurological preparations with 13% of total consolidated sales. The Chemicals, Cosmetics and Herbal Medicine segment accounts for 12% of total consolidated sales.

 

The profit per unit before financial expenses, taxes and depreciation (EBITDA), which amounted to 1,917,509,370 denars, showed an increase of about 14%, while the net profit per unit amounted to 1,160,140,040 denars and increased by 19%.
