The Turkish manufacturer of innovative building insulation materials Teknopanel will invest 16 million euro in the construction of a new plant in the technological-industrial zone in Skopje, BalkanEngineer.com learned from Vlada.mk. The production is expected to start in 2022.

For Teknopanel this is the first investment destination outside its domestic market. According to the company’s project plan and financial forecasts, the future plant will create 120 new job positions. Over a period of 10 years, Teknopanel expects to achieve total exports of products to Europe worth over 170 million euro.

Teknopanel is the first foreign investor with whom the government of North Macedonia will conclude an agreement with elements of the new concept for attracting investments in the technological-industrial zone in Skopje. The deal is expected to be signed in the next few weeks, with the state providing financial support for the establishment of jobs with an average net salary of over 544 euro per month.
