Turkish automotive cable manufacturer Cagatay Kablo has announced a new investment of EUR 6 million, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from an announcement by the Directorate for Technological and Industrial Zones (TIDZ) of North Macedonia. The funds will be used to expand the company's production capacity in the country.

The company will build a new 10,000 m2 production facility, which will be double the size of its current plant operating in the industrial zone in Skopje. The expansion is expected to create 200 new jobs, contributing to employment and industrial development in the region.
The new investment was officially presented at a meeting between TIDZ CEO Gotse Dimovski, the company's Chairman of the Board Ahmet Semshetin Koroğlu and the plant's Director Habil Mustafay. According to Dimovski, the government's commitment to supporting investments of this scale is a clear sign of promoting economic growth and creating sustainable jobs.
Çagatay Kablo, founded in 1998, supplies cables and wires mainly to the automotive industry, including buses, commercial vehicles, construction equipment and specialized machinery. Its plant in North Macedonia was opened in 2018 with an initial investment of EUR 4 million and since then the company has seen steady growth locally. The company says the new facility will meet growing demand and provide greater efficiency and flexibility in supply.
