Macedonian science has achieved a huge success with the official presentation of Alshar – the first humanoid robot developed entirely in North Macedonia by Professor Anis Sefidanis' team. The project is the work of the Faculty of Machine Intelligence and Robotics at the University of Information Sciences and Technologies in Ohrid and is already attracting serious international attention. The robot was conceived as part of the concept of "digital humanity," combining cutting-edge engineering with artificial intelligence aimed at the entertainment industry and musical arts, BalkanEngineer.com learned from Innovation Insights. Alshar's uniqueness lies in its specialization as an autonomous DJ.

Alshar's uniqueness lies in its specialization as an autonomous DJ; in addition to playing music, it is also capable of analyzing the audience in front of it in real time. Thanks to integrated sensors and AI algorithms, the humanoid assesses the mood of the audience and adapts its music selection accordingly, even composing its own original pieces at certain moments.

Professor Sefidanis, who is also the founder of the Center for Research and Development of Exponential Technologies, emphasizes that this product is proof of the local academic community's capacity to create world-class innovations. Interest in the developments of the Ohrid faculty from foreign investors and research centers continues to grow, with the creator of Alshar hinting at upcoming news regarding future applications of the platform.
