The regional private equity fund Provectus Capital Partners (PCP), based in Croatia, has finalized the acquisition of a majority stake in the Romanian company Seatbelt Consulting. The company is the local market leader in providing occupational health and safety services, BalkanEngineer.com learned from the international financial publication PE Insights. The transaction was carried out through the investor’s second fund (PCP SEE Fund II) and represents Provectus’s first platform investment in Romania.

The financing was secured through a combination of the fund’s own capital and a bank loan from UniCredit Bank Romania. Seatbelt Consulting founder Bogdan Niagu retains a significant equity stake and will continue to play an active role in the company’s management. Founded 15 years ago, Seatbelt Consulting serves over 1,300 corporate clients throughout Romania thanks to its proprietary digital platform for regulatory compliance management.
The partnership with Provectus will enable the Romanian company to accelerate its digital transformation, expand its range of services, and pursue further acquisitions in the fragmented local market.
