In the first six months of this year, the North Macedonian manufacturer of steel structures Facom sold goods for 10.4 million euros, which is 43% more compared to the same period last year, Balkanengineer.com learned from Izvoz.mk.

At the same time, a large growth of even 79% is reported in Facom's export and sales revenues on foreign markets, which reach 8.85 million euros. As much as 85% of Facom's total sales revenue for the first six months came from sales in foreign markets.

The large growth in exports was partly due to the surge in commodity prices during this period, which were almost twice as high as last year.

From sales on the domestic market, Facom realized revenues of 1.5 million euros, which is 32% less compared to last year, and the company's operating expenses for this period increased by 44%, reaching 10.64 million euros. Due to the high growth of the prices of many raw materials, Facom's expenses for them have almost doubled (95%), reaching 6.2 million euros. At the same time, the company's employee expenses increased by 10% and amounted to 3.17 million euros.

The operating profit of the company in the first half of the year is nearly 76,000 euros and is 14% lower than the previous year. The dominant owner of Facom is the company Reprounlimited, which owns over 97% of the shares, with around 2.7% of the shares owned by local shareholders.
