The Serbian companies HTEC Group and Sigmoid, together with two universities in the country, have successfully implemented a project to develop one of the most modern robotic arms for use in the industry. The idea had become a reality in less than two years, with limited funding, BalkanEngineer learned from Ekapija.com.

The robotic sensor arm is designed to be as agile and flexible as the human arm, but with advanced capabilities for capturing objects. The technology is ideal to work in automated warehouses, as well as to perform repetitive and dangerous production activities. What distinguishes the Serbian companies’ robotic arm from similar products on the market is its sensitivity, adaptability and reliability in gripping and manipulating objects of various shapes, sizes and weights.

HTEC Group and Sigmoid are currently in talks with several global companies interested in testing the robotic arm in their warehouses and industrial facilities, after which the innovative technology will be ready for series production.
