Serbia and the United Arab Emirates join forces to develop robotics

Serbia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are discussing the launch of a joint robotics programme based on Serbian engineering potential, BalkanEngineer.com has learned from Money.bg. The initiative is expected to stimulate innovation and create new opportunities for Serbian engineers and the technology sector.

The joint technology programme was discussed at a meeting between Serbian Minister without Portfolio Nenad Popovic and Maryam Almheiri, Director of the Office of International Affairs at the UAE Presidential Court, which took place on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Development Week.

The programme aims to combine Serbia's innovation with the UAE's advanced technology. Projects in the fields of artificial intelligence, clean energy and the food industry are being discussed, with new investments from the UAE in Serbian companies specialising in green technologies.

"Serbia is already a leader in the region, but cooperation with the UAE will strengthen our position on the world stage," Minister Popovic said.
