Romanian company TeraPlast a acquired 70% of Somplast

Romanian PVC pipe and fitting manufacturer TeraPlast has acquired a 70% stake in local flexible packaging producer Somplast, BalkanEngineer.com learned from SeeNews.com.

 

 

The acquisition is part of TeraPlast Group's development strategy and is being carried out alongside with the company's planned investments worth more than EUR 32 million, TeraPlast said in a statement to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

 

Somplast owns 20,000 m2 of halls in the town of Nasaud, Bistrita-Nasaud County, 25% of which are currently in use. In addition to its production activities, Somplast is also an authorized company for recycling polyethylene products.

 

TeraPlast's business covers several business areas, including PVC window profiles, thermal insulation panels, windows, doors and metal tiles. The seven companies of TeraPlast Group are TeraPlast SA, TeraSteel Romania and Serbia, Wetterbest, TeraGlass, TeraPlast Recycling and TeraPlast Hungary.
