The photovoltaic plant in Oslomej, North Macedonia is being built

The construction of the photovoltaic power plant in the village of Oslomej, North Macedonia is underway. It became clear after an inspection by Vasko Kovachevski - director of the company, constructing the project - Power Plants of North Macedonia (ESM), BalkanEngineer.com learned from Mia.mk.

 

 

The plant will be built on the site of the former coal mine of TPP Oslomey. The implementation of the project will increase the production capacity of ESM by 10MW, as well as the annual electricity production by 15 GWh.

 

The estimated value of the photovoltaic plant is EUR 8.771 million. EUR 5.9 million will be provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The planned deadline of the project is 10 months.

 

The ESM development strategy envisages the construction of two photovoltaic power plants in the village of Oslomey. Renewable energy stations will also be built at the mining-energy combine (REK) Bitola.
