The Bulgarian nuclear power plant (NPP) "Kozloduy" and the company Westinghouse Electric Sweden have signed an agreement for safety analysis of Unit 5 of Kozloduy NPP in implementation of an alternative type of nuclear fuel, BalkanEngineer.com learned from a statement by the Bulgarian Ministry of Energy.
The agreement was signed by the Executive Director of NPP "Kozloduy" Nasko Mihov and Azis Dag - Vice President and Managing Director of Westinghouse Electric Sweden.
According to the Minister of Energy of Bulgaria Temenujka Petkova, by signing this agreement the government fulfills one of its main priorities in the energy field - that of diversification of energy resources. She emphasized on the fact that, despite the pandemic, the roadmap signed with the European Union Supply Agency for the diversification of fresh nuclear fuel for the Kozloduy NPP was being implemented.

The Romanian vehicles Dacia would now be sold in Australia by the local importer Renault Ateco Group. Ateco Group’s CEO Neville Crichton said that negotiations about the details were underway with Dacia.

The Serbian government had signed an agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) to finance the construction of the gas interconnector Nis – Dimitrovgrad – Bulgaria.
