North Macedonia registered 330.4 million euro in exports of ICT services

According to data of the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia, the export of telecommunication, computer and information (ICT) services from the country in the past 2021 reached 330.4 million euro. This is a 37% increase compared to 2020, BalkanEngineer.com also learned from Izvoz.mk.

 

 

The export from the ICT industry in North Macedonia has been growing steadily for several years now without being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The largest is the share of computer services provided, reaching 295.2 million euro last year. Compared to 2017 data, the total exports of ICT services have more than doubled. This means that the country’s exports in this sector grew by an average of 24.5% annually.

 

According to a MASIT report, the largest export markets for the Macedonian IT companies are the United States, Germany, Serbia, Bulgaria and Albania. Data from the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia also show that the imports of ICT services in the country amounted to 115.5 million euro last year.
